Meel is an Arabic Display typeface inspired by various sources, from vintage music albums to vernacular Beirut type and protest graffiti. Exploring the Ruqaa calligraphic style, a more personal and popular style, its boldness excels in large sizes and its liquid character merges the tool and the digital; knowing that the pen is present but not exactly knowing how.

↑ Meel ligatures. When a kashida is inserted, a ligature is activated to retain the characteristic movement of Meel; without creating a stagnant horizontal connection but rather a fluid continuation of the line.
